Prithvi Series
The Prithvi Series refers to a group of tactical surface-to-surface ballistic missiles developed by DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) of India. These missiles are designed for quick deployment and can carry conventional warheads. The series includes several variants, with ranges varying from 150 to 350 kilometers, making them suitable for various military applications.
The first missile in the series, Prithvi I, was inducted into the Indian Armed Forces in the early 1990s. Subsequent versions, such as Prithvi II and Prithvi III, have enhanced capabilities, including improved accuracy and payload capacity. The Prithvi missiles play a crucial role in India's strategic defense framework.
