Princess Maria Anna of Hesse-Rotenburg was born on January 24, 1738, in Hesse-Rotenburg, a small German principality. She was the daughter of Landgrave Louis IX of Hesse-Rotenburg and Princess Maria Anna of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. Maria Anna belonged to the House of Hesse, a prominent family in European nobility.
In 1755, she married Prince Joseph of Saxe-Hildburghausen, strengthening ties between their noble families. The couple had several children, contributing to the lineage of European royalty. Maria Anna passed away on March 12, 1797, leaving behind a legacy intertwined with the history of German nobility.
