Princess Margaret of Connaught
Princess Margaret of Connaught was born on January 15, 1882, in London, England. She was the daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, and Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia. Margaret became the first member of the British royal family to be born in Canada, as her father served as Governor General of Canada.
In 1905, she married Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden, becoming the Duchess of Scania. The couple had three children, but Margaret's life was marked by tragedy when her husband died in a plane crash in 1947. She passed away on May 1, 1920, in London.
