Prince Willem-Alexander
Prince Willem-Alexander is the King of the Netherlands, having ascended to the throne on April 30, 2013. He was born on April 27, 1967, in Utrecht and is the first king of the Netherlands in over a century. He is the eldest son of Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus.
Willem-Alexander studied at the University of Groningen and later earned a degree in international relations. He is married to Queen Máxima, originally from Argentina, and they have three daughters. As king, he represents the Dutch monarchy and participates in various state functions and charitable activities.
