Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands
Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands was born on May 29, 1911, in Germany. He became the consort of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands when they married in 1937. Bernhard played a significant role in Dutch public life and was involved in various charitable organizations and cultural institutions.
During World War II, he was active in the Dutch resistance and later served as a pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. After the war, he was known for his work in promoting international cooperation and environmental conservation, founding the World Wildlife Fund in 1961.
