Primula veris
Primula veris, commonly known as the cowslip, is a perennial flowering plant belonging to the Primulaceae family. It typically grows in meadows, grasslands, and woodland edges across Europe and parts of Asia. The plant features clusters of bright yellow, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in spring, attracting various pollinators.
Cowslips thrive in well-drained soil and prefer sunny to partially shaded areas. They can reach heights of 15 to 30 centimeters and often form dense patches. Historically, Primula veris has been used in traditional medicine and is also appreciated for its ornamental value in gardens.
