Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra
Yingluck Shinawatra served as the Prime Minister of Thailand from 2011 to 2014. She was the first woman to hold this position in the country and is a member of the Pheu Thai Party, which is associated with her brother, Thaksin Shinawatra, a former Prime Minister.
During her tenure, Yingluck focused on various policies, including economic stimulus and rice subsidy programs. However, her government faced significant political challenges and protests, leading to her eventual removal from office by a Constitutional Court ruling in 2014.
