Pride Fighting Championships
Pride Fighting Championships, often referred to as Pride FC, was a prominent mixed martial arts (MMA) organization based in Japan. Founded in 1997, it became known for its high-profile events and unique rules, which allowed a wide range of fighting styles. The organization featured many of the sport's top fighters and helped popularize MMA globally.
Pride FC was famous for its large-scale events held in venues like the Saitama Super Arena. The organization operated until 2007, when it was acquired by Zuffa, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Despite its closure, Pride FC remains influential in the history of MMA.
