Presidential Scholars
The Presidential Scholars Program is a prestigious initiative in the United States that recognizes outstanding high school seniors for their academic achievements, leadership, and community service. Established in 1964, the program honors students who demonstrate excellence in various fields, including the arts and sciences.
Each year, up to 161 students are selected as Presidential Scholars, based on their SAT or ACT scores, academic performance, and recommendations. Scholars receive a medallion and are invited to participate in a national recognition ceremony in Washington, D.C., where they engage with leaders in education and government.
