President of Finland
The President of Finland is the head of state and is responsible for representing Finland in international affairs. The president is elected for a six-year term and can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. The role includes overseeing foreign policy, appointing ambassadors, and serving as the commander-in-chief of the Finnish Defence Forces.
In addition to foreign policy, the president has a role in domestic matters, such as signing laws and appointing government officials. The president works closely with the Prime Minister and the Parliament of Finland to ensure effective governance and uphold the constitution.
