President Jimmy Carter
President Jimmy Carter served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He was born on October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia. Before his presidency, he was the Governor of Georgia and a naval officer. Carter is known for his focus on human rights, energy conservation, and peace negotiations, notably the Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt.
After leaving office, Carter became a prominent humanitarian and advocate for global health and democracy. He founded the Carter Center in 1982, which works to improve global health and promote peace. In 2002, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in these areas.
