Premiership Rugby
Premiership Rugby is the top professional rugby union league in England, featuring twelve teams that compete annually. Established in 1997, it operates on a promotion and relegation system with the RFU Championship. The league typically runs from September to June, culminating in a playoff system to determine the champion.
Each team plays 22 matches during the regular season, facing every other team twice. The league is known for its high level of competition and has produced many talented players who have gone on to represent England at the international level. The current champions are determined through a final match held at Twickenham Stadium.
