Premier of China
The Premier of China is the head of government in the People's Republic of China. This position is responsible for overseeing the State Council, which is the executive branch of the government. The Premier is appointed by the President of China and is usually a member of the Communist Party of China.
The Premier's duties include implementing laws, managing the economy, and directing foreign affairs. The Premier also plays a key role in formulating policies and coordinating the work of various ministries. The current Premier, as of October 2023, is Li Qiang, who took office in March 2023.
