Prayer in Islam
Prayer in Islam, known as Salah, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is performed five times a day. It serves as a direct link between the believer and Allah, the Islamic God. Each prayer consists of a sequence of movements and recitations, including verses from the Quran, the holy book of Islam.
The five daily prayers are performed at specific times: Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (noon), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (evening), and Isha (night). Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca during prayer, emphasizing unity and devotion. Prayer is a time for reflection, gratitude, and seeking guidance from Allah.
