Portland Beavers
The Portland Beavers were a professional baseball team based in Portland, Oregon. They played in various leagues, including the Pacific Coast League, from their founding in 1903 until their last season in 2010. The team was known for its strong community support and played home games at PGE Park, which is now called Providence Park.
The Beavers were affiliated with several Major League Baseball teams over the years, including the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners. The team's mascot, Bernie the Beaver, was a popular figure at games, entertaining fans and promoting community engagement. Despite their success on the field, the Beavers ceased operations due to financial challenges.
