Pacific Coast League
The Pacific Coast League (PCL) is a professional baseball league in the United States, primarily composed of teams located in the western region. Founded in 1903, it serves as a Triple-A level league, which is one step below Major League Baseball (MLB). The PCL is known for its high level of competition and has produced many players who have gone on to have successful careers in the MLB.
The league features a mix of teams affiliated with MLB franchises and independent teams. The PCL operates under the umbrella of Minor League Baseball, and its teams play a 144-game schedule from April to September. Notable teams in the league include the Las Vegas Aviators and the Sacramento River Cats.
