Port Sunlight Village
Port Sunlight Village is a model village located in Merseyside, England, built in the late 19th century by the soap manufacturer William Hesketh Lever. It was designed to provide affordable housing for workers of the Lever Brothers soap factory, which later became part of Unilever. The village features over 900 unique houses, many designed in the Arts and Crafts style, and is set within beautiful gardens and parks.
The village is also home to the Port Sunlight Museum, which showcases the history of the village and its residents. Today, Port Sunlight is a conservation area, attracting visitors interested in its architectural heritage and the story of industrial philanthropy.
