Pope John XI
Pope John XI served as the head of the Roman Catholic Church from 931 to 935 AD. He was the son of Pope Sergius III and was known for his brief papacy during a tumultuous period in the church's history. His reign was marked by political intrigue and the influence of powerful Roman families.
During his papacy, John XI faced challenges from rival factions within Rome. His leadership was overshadowed by the dominance of his mother, Marozia, a powerful noblewoman. John XI's papacy ended with his death in 935, and he was succeeded by Pope Leo VII.
