Pomo language
The Pomo language is a group of Native American languages spoken by the Pomo people in Northern California. It consists of several distinct dialects, including Northern Pomo, Central Pomo, and Southern Pomo, each with unique linguistic features.
Historically, the Pomo languages were primarily oral, with limited written documentation. Efforts to revitalize and preserve the language have increased in recent years, as community members work to teach younger generations and maintain their cultural heritage.
