PolyGram
PolyGram was a major music company founded in 1972, originally as a division of the Dutch company Philips. It became one of the largest record labels in the world, known for producing and distributing music across various genres. PolyGram signed many successful artists, including The Bee Gees, David Bowie, and U2.
In 1998, PolyGram was acquired by Seagram, which later merged it with Universal Music Group. This merger helped create one of the largest music conglomerates globally, further expanding the reach and influence of PolyGram's extensive catalog of recordings.
