Pollux b is an exoplanet located about 34 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Gemini. It orbits the star Pollux, which is a bright orange giant and one of the two main stars in the Castor system.
Discovered in 2012, Pollux b is classified as a gas giant, similar to Jupiter. It has a mass approximately 2.3 times that of Jupiter and completes an orbit around its star in about 590 days. The planet's distance from Pollux places it in a region where temperatures may allow for the presence of liquid water, although it is primarily composed of gas.
