Plymouth Company
The Plymouth Company was an English trading company established in 1606. It was formed to promote the colonization of North America, particularly in the region that is now known as New England. The company aimed to establish settlements and trade routes, contributing to the expansion of English influence in the New World.
In 1620, the Plymouth Company was involved in the early settlement of Plymouth Colony, which was founded by the Pilgrims. Although the company itself faced challenges and eventually dissolved, its efforts played a significant role in the establishment of English colonies in America.
