Plasma TV
A Plasma TV is a type of flat-screen television that uses plasma technology to display images. It consists of small cells filled with gas that emit ultraviolet light when electrically charged. This light then excites phosphors, producing vibrant colors and deep blacks, making plasma TVs known for their excellent picture quality, especially in dark environments.
Plasma TVs were popular in the early 2000s due to their large screen sizes and superior color accuracy compared to traditional CRT TVs. However, they have largely been replaced by LED and OLED TVs due to advancements in technology, energy efficiency, and thinner designs.
