CRT TVs
CRT TVs, or cathode ray tube televisions, are a type of television that uses a large glass tube to display images. Inside the tube, electrons are fired from a gun and directed onto a phosphorescent screen, creating the images we see. These TVs were popular from the 1950s until the early 2000s.
Despite their bulky design and weight, CRT TVs offered good picture quality and color reproduction for their time. They have largely been replaced by flat-screen TVs, such as LCD and LED models, which are thinner, lighter, and more energy-efficient.
