Pittsburgh's Forbes Field
Forbes Field was a historic baseball stadium located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1909, it served as the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates until 1970. The stadium was known for its distinctive features, including a large left-field wall and a spacious outfield.
The field hosted numerous significant events, including the 1947 World Series and the famous Bill Mazeroski home run in 1960 that won the World Series for the Pirates. After its closure, the site was redeveloped, but remnants of the stadium, such as the Forbes Field Wall, still remain as a tribute to its legacy.
