Piton des Neiges National Park
Piton des Neiges National Park is located on the island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean. It is home to the highest peak in the Indian Ocean, Piton des Neiges, which rises to 3,070 meters. The park features diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, volcanic landscapes, and unique flora and fauna.
Established in 2007, the park covers approximately 24,000 hectares and is part of the Pitons, cirques, and remparts of Reunion Island UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails that offer stunning views and opportunities to explore the island's rich biodiversity.
