Pipits
Pipits are small, slender birds belonging to the family Motacillidae. They are commonly found in open habitats such as grasslands, fields, and wetlands. Pipits are known for their distinctive, melodic songs and their habit of running on the ground rather than hopping. They primarily feed on insects and seeds.
These birds are characterized by their long legs, pointed wings, and streaked plumage, which helps them blend into their surroundings. There are several species of pipits, including the American Pipit and the Tree Pipit. They are often seen foraging alone or in small groups, especially during migration.
