Pindus National Park
Pindus National Park is located in the Pindus mountain range of northwestern Greece. Established in 2002, it covers an area of approximately 1,500 square kilometers. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including forests, rivers, and alpine meadows, which provide habitats for various wildlife species.
The park is home to several endangered species, such as the brown bear and the wolf. Visitors can enjoy numerous hiking trails that showcase the stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity. Additionally, the park is part of the Natura 2000 network, aimed at conserving Europe's most valuable habitats and species.
