Pim Fortuyn List
The Pim Fortuyn List (LPF) was a political party in the Netherlands founded in 2002 by Pim Fortuyn, a controversial figure known for his outspoken views on immigration and Islam. The party gained significant popularity in the early 2000s, advocating for a more liberal economic policy while promoting a strong stance on national identity and security.
The LPF achieved notable success in the 2002 general elections, securing 17% of the vote and becoming the second-largest party in the Dutch Parliament. However, the party's influence waned after Fortuyn's assassination later that year, leading to internal conflicts and a decline in support.
