Pilosa
Pilosa is an order of mammals that includes two main groups: anteaters and sloths. These animals are primarily found in Central and South America and are known for their unique adaptations to their environments. Anteaters have long snouts and specialized tongues for feeding on ants and termites, while sloths are known for their slow movement and tree-dwelling lifestyle.
Members of the Pilosa order have distinct features, such as long claws that help them climb trees or dig for food. They play important roles in their ecosystems, contributing to pest control and seed dispersal. Despite their differences, both anteaters and sloths share a common ancestry and are part of the larger group of Xenarthra.
