Pigment-Based Inks
Pigment-based inks are a type of ink that uses tiny particles of color, known as pigments, suspended in a liquid. These pigments provide vibrant colors and excellent lightfastness, meaning they resist fading over time when exposed to light. This makes them ideal for printing photographs and artwork that need to maintain their quality.
Unlike dye-based inks, which dissolve in liquid, pigment-based inks remain stable and do not bleed as much on paper. They are often used in professional printing and fine art applications due to their durability and resistance to water and smudging.
