Physical Sunscreens
Physical sunscreens, also known as mineral sunscreens, contain active mineral ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These ingredients work by sitting on the skin's surface and reflecting harmful UV rays away from the skin. They provide broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, making them effective for preventing sunburn and skin damage.
Unlike chemical sunscreens, which absorb UV radiation, physical sunscreens start working immediately upon application. They are often recommended for sensitive skin types, as they are less likely to cause irritation. Additionally, physical sunscreens tend to be more stable in sunlight, providing longer-lasting protection during outdoor activities.
