Philippine History
The history of the Philippines is marked by a rich tapestry of cultures and influences. It began with the arrival of the first inhabitants around 30,000 years ago, followed by the establishment of various indigenous communities. In the 16th century, Spanish colonization began, leading to over 300 years of Spanish rule, which significantly shaped the country's culture, religion, and governance.
In the late 19th century, the Philippine Revolution emerged, seeking independence from Spain. This struggle culminated in the declaration of independence in 1898. However, the Philippines then faced American colonization, which lasted until 1946, when the country finally gained full independence.
