Philippine Geography
The Philippines is an archipelago located in Southeast Asia, consisting of over 7,000 islands. It is divided into three main geographical regions: Luzon in the north, Visayas in the central part, and Mindanao in the south. The country is surrounded by several bodies of water, including the South China Sea to the west and the Philippine Sea to the east.
The terrain of the Philippines is diverse, featuring mountains, plains, and coastal areas. The Sierra Madre mountain range runs along the eastern side of Luzon, while Mindanao is home to the Philippine Eagle and the Mount Apo, the highest peak in the country. The climate is tropical, with a wet and dry season, making it rich in biodiversity.
