Philip I
Philip I, also known as Philip the Handsome, was a Spanish prince born in 1478. He was the son of Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor, and Mary of Burgundy. Philip became the Duke of Burgundy and later married Joanna of Castile, which linked the Spanish and Habsburg dynasties.
In 1506, Philip briefly became the King of Castile after his wife's mother, Isabella I of Castile, passed away. His reign was short-lived, as he died in 1506 at the age of 28. Despite his brief rule, Philip's marriage helped solidify the power of the Habsburgs in Europe.
