Phelsuma
Phelsuma is a genus of colorful, diurnal geckos native to the islands of Madagascar and the Comoros. These small lizards are known for their vibrant green bodies, often adorned with blue or red spots. They primarily inhabit tropical forests and are arboreal, meaning they spend most of their time in trees.
Phelsuma geckos are popular in the pet trade due to their striking appearance and relatively easy care requirements. They are insectivorous, feeding on a diet of insects and fruit. Some species, like the Madagascar day gecko, are particularly well-known for their bright colors and active behavior.
