Pheidias
Pheidias was an ancient Greek sculptor and architect, renowned for his work during the Classical period. He is best known for creating the massive statue of Athena Parthenos, which stood in the Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens. His artistry set a standard for beauty and proportion in sculpture.
In addition to the Athena statue, Pheidias also worked on the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. His techniques and innovations in sculpture greatly influenced later artists and contributed to the development of Hellenistic art.
