Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
The Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (PSGB) was established in 1841 to represent pharmacists in Great Britain. It aimed to promote the profession, ensure high standards of practice, and support the education and training of pharmacists. The society played a crucial role in the development of pharmacy as a recognized profession.
In 2010, the PSGB merged with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) to form a single professional body for pharmacists in England, Scotland, and Wales. The RPS continues the legacy of the PSGB by advocating for pharmacists, providing resources, and enhancing the profession's role in healthcare.
