Peter III of Cyprus
Peter III of Cyprus was a king who ruled from 1359 to 1369. He was a member of the House of Lusignan, a dynasty that governed Cyprus after the island was captured during the Crusades. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen the kingdom and improve its economy, as well as conflicts with neighboring states.
During his rule, Peter III faced challenges, including internal strife and external threats from the Mamluks of Egypt. He is also known for his attempts to maintain the Latin Church in Cyprus and for his involvement in the politics of the Eastern Mediterranean. His reign ended with his death in 1369.
