Persian ibex
The Persian ibex is a species of wild goat found primarily in the mountainous regions of Iran and parts of Pakistan. It is known for its impressive curved horns, which can grow up to 1 meter long in males. These animals are well-adapted to steep, rocky terrains, allowing them to navigate their rugged habitats with ease.
Persian ibex are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, shrubs, and other vegetation. They are social animals, often seen in small groups, and are known for their agility and speed, which help them evade predators such as leopards and wolves. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their populations from habitat loss and hunting.
