Persian history
Persian history dates back to ancient times, with the establishment of the Achaemenid Empire around 550 BCE by Cyrus the Great. This empire became one of the largest in history, known for its advanced administration and respect for local customs. It included regions that are now part of Iran, Iraq, and Turkey.
Following the Achaemenids, the Sassanian Empire emerged in 224 CE, marking a period of cultural and scientific achievements. Persian history has been shaped by various dynasties, invasions, and the spread of Islam, leading to a rich cultural heritage that influences the region today.
