Persian Leopard
The Persian Leopard is a subspecies of leopard found primarily in the mountainous regions of Iran, Afghanistan, and parts of Turkey. It is known for its thick fur, which helps it adapt to cold climates. This leopard typically has a lighter coat with larger rosettes compared to other leopard subspecies, making it easily recognizable.
These leopards are solitary animals, primarily active at night. They are skilled climbers and often hunt deer, wild boar, and smaller mammals. The Persian Leopard is classified as vulnerable due to habitat loss and poaching, making conservation efforts essential for its survival.
