Persian Festivals
Persian festivals are vibrant celebrations rooted in the rich culture of Iran. One of the most significant is Nowruz, the Persian New Year, which marks the arrival of spring. Celebrated on the vernal equinox, it symbolizes renewal and rebirth, featuring traditions like family gatherings, feasting, and the setting of the Haft-Seen table, which includes seven symbolic items.
Another important festival is Yalda Night, celebrated on the longest night of the year. Families come together to share stories, poetry, and seasonal fruits, particularly pomegranates and watermelons. This festival emphasizes the triumph of light over darkness and the importance of community and heritage in Persian culture.
