Persian Armenians
Persian Armenians are an ethnic group of Armenians living in Iran. They have a rich cultural heritage that blends Armenian traditions with Persian influences. Historically, they have been present in the region for centuries, particularly after the Safavid dynasty encouraged their settlement in Isfahan and other cities.
Today, Persian Armenians maintain their unique identity through language, religion, and customs. Most are members of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and they celebrate traditional Armenian holidays. Despite facing challenges, they continue to contribute to the cultural and economic life of Iran, preserving their distinct heritage while integrating into broader Iranian society.
