Pemon
The Pemon are an indigenous people primarily found in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela and parts of Guyana and Brazil. They speak the Pemon language, which is part of the Cariban language family. Traditionally, the Pemon have lived in small, semi-nomadic communities, relying on agriculture, hunting, and fishing for their sustenance.
The Pemon culture is rich in traditions, including unique crafts, music, and dance. They are known for their deep connection to the land and their spiritual beliefs, which often involve the worship of natural elements. The Pemon also play a significant role in the preservation of the Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
