Pee Mak
"Pee Mak" is a Thai horror-comedy film released in 2013, directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun. The story is set in the aftermath of the Siamese war and follows a soldier named Mak who returns home to his wife, Nak, and their newborn child. Unbeknownst to him, Nak is a ghost, and the film explores themes of love, loyalty, and the supernatural.
The film is inspired by the famous Thai folklore of Mae Nak Phra Khanong, which tells the tale of a woman who dies during childbirth but continues to haunt her husband. "Pee Mak" combines humor with horror, making it a unique entry in the genre and popular among audiences in Thailand and beyond.
