Pedro de Alvarado
Pedro de Alvarado was a Spanish conquistador born in 1485. He is best known for his role in the conquest of the Aztec Empire alongside Hernán Cortés. Alvarado was known for his military skills and played a significant part in the Spanish colonization of Mexico and Central America.
After the fall of the Aztecs, Alvarado led expeditions into Guatemala and El Salvador, where he established Spanish settlements. He became the governor of Guatemala and was involved in various conflicts with indigenous peoples. Alvarado's actions contributed to the spread of Spanish influence in the region until his death in 1541.
