Pectoralis Minor Syndrome
Pectoralis Minor Syndrome is a condition that occurs when the pectoralis minor muscle, located beneath the larger pectoralis major muscle in the chest, becomes tight or shortened. This can lead to compression of nearby nerves and blood vessels, resulting in symptoms such as pain, numbness, or tingling in the shoulder, arm, or hand.
The syndrome is often associated with repetitive overhead activities or poor posture, which can contribute to muscle tightness. Treatment typically includes physical therapy, stretching exercises, and ergonomic adjustments to alleviate symptoms and restore normal function.
