Pechanga Band
The Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians is a federally recognized tribe located in Southern California. They are part of the larger Luiseño people, who have lived in the region for thousands of years. The Pechanga Reservation, established in 1882, spans over 25,000 acres and is home to the tribe's members.
The Pechanga Band is known for its successful economic ventures, including the Pechanga Resort and Casino, one of the largest casinos in California. This enterprise has provided significant revenue for the tribe, allowing them to invest in community services, education, and cultural preservation efforts.
