Pazzi family
The Pazzi family was a prominent banking family in Florence, Italy during the late 14th and early 15th centuries. They were known for their wealth and influence, particularly in the fields of finance and politics. The family played a significant role in the economic development of Florence and were rivals of the more powerful Medici family.
The Pazzi family is perhaps best known for their involvement in the Pazzi Conspiracy of 1478, an attempt to overthrow the Medici family. This plot aimed to assassinate Lorenzo de' Medici and his brother Giuliano de' Medici during a church service. The conspiracy ultimately failed, leading to severe repercussions for the Pazzi family and their allies.
